About Kathryn Tong

Kathryn Tong is a Senior Vice President in the Beverly Hills office of Compass Commercial.

 

Kathryn focuses on working with landlords and tenants, sellers and buyers, and investors providing advice on corporate relocation, acquisition, disposition, and corporate lease negotiations, in and around the Greater Los Angeles basin, including but not limited to South Bay, West Los Angeles, Mid-Counties and Inland Empire.

 

Over the past 17 years, Kathryn has been involved in over 300 transactions in the sale and leasing of Industrial, Office, Mixed-Use, Investment, and Urban Development Land properties.

 

Kathryn began her commercial real estate career with Sperry Van Ness in 2004 where she specialized in transacting the development of vacant lands for developers. Then she joined Colliers and NAI Capital, where she represented different industrial and office users and investors throughout Los Angeles, Inland Empire, and San Gabriel Valley. In 2011, she started her own boutique brokerage CityLights Realty, LLC, primarily assisting small and medium-sized companies in their corporate real estate needs. Throughout the years, she provided valuable advice on how to maximize investment returns, and efficiently build up a corporate portfolio based on each company’s unique criteria. She also assisted many Asian Pacific businesses set up their U.S. regional headquarters in Southern California.

 

Kathryn is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and holds an MBA degree from the University of Lincoln in the U.K. Born and raised in Hong Kong with a background in merchandising and logistics, project management, and real estate investment, she has shown herself to be a person of high integrity and is extremely passionate about different kinds of real estate transactions.

 

Kathryn is a proud mother and a wife. Her daughter has recently completed her BA degree at USC. She also likes to spend time traveling internationally with her husband John.
